This sketchbook features upcycled vintage book covers protecting 64 pages of 100% cotton Arches Cold Pressed paper, which is renowned by professional artists throughout the world. The front book cover has a delicate black embossed sprig design in one corner. The exposed spine elegantly displays the hand bound Coptic stitching, which allows the book to lay flat when open.

The inside covers have been adorned with decorative feather endpapers with gold foil accents. The back cover does have a small pocket for tucking away swatches and other inspiration. This pocket initially comes with 3 strips of Arches paper, so you can test your paint colors on scrap paper before applying them to the pages of the sketchbook.

Original Book: The Wit of Prince Philip compiled by Peter Butler © 1966

Size of pages within this sketchbook: 5" x 8"

Please note that the covers of these sketchbooks are upcycled from vintage or antique books that have been well-loved throughout the years. Many of them are nearly or over 100 years old! As such, there may be stains present, worn corners, etc. We think this adds to the charm and character of their vintage nature, but please make sure to inspect the photos carefully before placing an order. This particular book does have a slightly frayed edge on the bottom of the front cover.

*page count: 32 papers, 64 sheets counting front and back. With 100% cotton watercolor paper of this caliber, it is common to paint on the front and the back of the pages within a sketchbook.
